Just a remark that Chile was beaten by Colombia in our expansion poll (COL being the best non-EU league in the poll but coming only 3rd overall). But if we treat Chile as resuming the formerly existing comp so a special case/not really an expansion, this should help us walk around our own expansion best practices here :) I guess COL still does have an apertura/clausura format which doesn't help.

Yes, I'm not a fan of the Apertura/Clausura stuff, because it's usually followed by some playoff rounds that must be filled manually.

Michał, could you explain me the problem of 'apertura/clausura format' (on the example of Liga MX, if possible).

An interesting fact. Palestino really have strong Palestinian conotations and connections. They were originally established in 1920 by a group of Palestinian immigrants. I am reading that still today there is a big diaspora of Palestinians living in Chile. The team also uses the panarabic red, green, white and black as their colours and is known for supporting Palestina. Palestinian flags can be seen during the games and their matches are broadcast by Al-Jazeera.

Audax Italiano, in turn, originally represented the Italian community in Chile (a bit like Palmeiras in Brazil).

Another fact. O'Higgins team took his name after Bernardo O'Higgins Riquelme (20 August 1778 – 24 October 1842) who was a Chilean independence leader that freed Chile from Spanish rule in the Chilean War of Independence. A similar motive with Colo-Colo: the club's badge represents Mapuche chieftain Colo Colo, an important Wall Mapu member who fought in the Arauco War against the Spanish empire (1536–1818).

And Everton's name here is no coincidence, too.
