1st competitive but 2nd in history. 20 years ago they beat the same team (Liechtenstein) in a friendly. So one might even say San Marino are slowly becoming Liechtenstein's nightmare.

BTW, does anyone remember San Marino's best player of all time?
It must be Massimo Bonini (65 today), a former regular for Juventus (7 seasons) and Bologna (4 seasons). He had played for Italy U-21 but then chose to represent San Marino in senior football. I think he played in one team with Platini, Tardelli and Boniek at some point and won quite a handful of titles with Juve if I am not mistaken. He also became a SM national team coach in mid-90s. A blonde guy which made him quite characteristic among Italian players. Once awarded a nickname of 'Platini's lungs' in midfield, too.
