Not much time for a poll but this is a question really for those NOT from Spain or England

Who will you be supporting and why ?

Spain, as they've played much better football than England

Don't get me wrong, I love English club football and I'd normally prefer the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea or Aston Villa over most of other European teams in direct match ups but when it comes to team England, the choice is easy. I can't recall a single game where I'd support England in my life (well maybe except when they played vs Brazil).

It's kind of irrational. I think it roots back to my childhood when my dad told me a story. He had some business colleagues in London and after Poland had eliminated England from the WC qualification in 1973 the guys were allegedly very disrespectful about the quality of the Polish team. So every time we watched England's game together with my dad I effectively had a ban from him on supporting England. So I kind of get used to that approach over all those years :) I like most of England's players individually though!

Even though they knocked us out. England. For Bukayo our gunner starboy. The only time I would support Spain is against France.

Jan Tomaszweski was a clown in goalkeeping gloves . Thing is he broke his finger minutes into the match and still denied England.

I think he has been one ever since, as a former politician, commentator or a column writer... His 'manual skills of a footballer's leg' is still an iconic expression.

My prediction is Spain ... to get points from correct winner prediction and the 4 points for England from my tournament prediction.

My hope is England ... it's about time.
